and creeks are within their banks a gang. if the napa river has peaked and is beginning to recede. the current level is 9.4 ft., while flood stage is at 16 ft. so we are much below that. the flood warning for the napa river has been cancelled. >> we do have locally dense fog for portions of the north bay. we have said improvements for novato. it is clear conditions for the heart of the bay area. the visibility is down for those a you driving in the livermore area. we will see an increase in cloud cover to rob the day. this will arrive on christmas day the next storm. as you look out the window you will see that there are rain drops in santa rosa. it will continue to spread its way south. it will stretch all the way down to san francisco. it will remain dry for the south bay but rain will pick up in intensity as we head into 4:00 p.m. on christmas day. >> the bottom half of the bay area should remain dry. the heaviest showers will not pass through to a letter on the day. your christmas forecast shows that the north bay will have rain in the morning and their morning lows will be in

in vallejo. napa and santa rosa are chile's five at 39 degrees. the bulk of the system went through yesterday but lake tahoe, a look at all that low. that is a lot of fresh powder from the ski resorts. winter storm warning is still in effect for the western slopes of sierra nevada until 11:00 tonight. fresh power today three to 6 in. bringing the total up to 2 ft. in some locations. winds with gusts up to 45 mi. per hour. at 8:00 this morning just some scattered showers and they will be possible throughout the day. they will decrease as the day continues, especially by tonight. highs for today, 56 and oakland 53 in downtown san francisco mid '50s for half moon bay. a lot of us will make it into the 50s. sandra feldman only get to 49 degrees today. 7 day around the bay is a little wet today, especially this morning also breezy at times. tomorrow morning lots of sunshine lots ohigh of 53. monday and tuesday as we head into the new year holiday and parties for years see if we are lucky to be dry and a little milder. 6:18 a.m. and here is george with traffic. >> good morning and happy boxing day

area as well as the bay area. napa is 40 out the door and fremont is waking up to 42 degrees. as we take a look at that afternoon highs everyone will be and the low to mid 50s. >> in downtown san francisco was at 52 degrees and the same as for richmond. the high-pressure is in control briefly and we do have more wet weather on the way. futurecast 4 has a set for 8:00 a.m.. we will be dry and so we do not believe it was the more hazardous conditions. it will be mostly cloudy. the rain will be off shore. as we head into afternoon we do not see much more involved. it may just be a stray showers. if we do see moraine the chances are for tomorrow night. >> i think the mid peninsula and to the south will remain dry by 5:00 p.m.. showers will pick up as we head into the overnight hours. we do have the possibility of stray showers for saturday morning as well. it will start to clear up for saturday afternoon headed into sunday. we may have a 10th of an inch to 1/4. the morning fall on monday and a chance for showers as we linas we head into the new year. >> look at the bay bridge. the meter
